Privacy

Your footage stays close. Your data deserves the same clarity.

This policy explains what Reallyfe Clip Maker collects, what remains on your device, what is sent to service providers, and the choices you have.

Effective August 30, 2026 · Last updated September 24, 2026

The short version

Long source interviews are edited on your device and are not uploaded as part of ordinary clipping. Signed-in projects do sync, including transcript text and editing decisions. Small source files and exports may be stored privately. Finished clips are sent to a social platform only when you choose to post, schedule, or enable an Autopilot route.

1. Who we are

Reallyfe Productions provides Reallyfe Clip Maker (the “Service”). Questions or privacy requests can be sent to mail@reallyfeproductions.com.

Legal notices may be mailed to Reallyfe Productions, 1801 N Pearl Street, Dallas, TX 75201, United States.

2. Information we collect

Account and support information

We collect the email address and account identifiers used to sign in, plus information you choose to include in support messages.

thaclippers beta list

When you ask to join the thaclippers private beta, we keep the email address you give and anything you choose to add — your name, what you make, your channel link, how much you record, and what slows you down — along with the link or ad that brought you (such as a referral code or campaign tag) and the country our hosting provider infers from your connection. We do not store your IP address. We use this only to invite you to the beta and to email you about it. To be taken off the list, contact mail@reallyfeproductions.com.

Projects and creator content

A project may contain transcripts, timed caption lines, clips, hooks, reasons, guest names, quotes, social copy, brand instructions, logos, reference images, editing decisions, and related metadata. Source files and exports under the Service’s upload limit may be stored in a private bucket associated with your account. Larger interviews ordinarily stay on your device.

Connected-platform information

When you connect YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, or TikTok, we receive the account, Page, channel, or profile information that the platform makes available under the permissions you approve. We also retain credentials or tokens needed to keep the connection working. We do not receive your platform password.

Billing and technical information

Stripe processes payments and provides us with transaction identifiers and purchase status; Reallyfe Clip Maker does not receive complete payment-card details. We may also receive basic request, device, browser, diagnostic, security, and usage information needed to operate and protect the Service.

3. What leaves your device

  • Project data: signed-in projects sync to our database so they can reopen on another machine.
  • Small media: source files and exports under the upload limit may be copied to private storage.
  • Phone link: only if you switch it on in the desktop app, a list of your library (interview names and lengths, clip titles, descriptions and scores, scheduling status, one small poster image per interview) and the requests you make from your phone are stored in your own private folder. The live stream of a clip you watch goes directly from your computer to your phone while you watch, is not stored and does not pass through our servers. When a network blocks a direct connection, the stream is relayed through Cloudflare’s TURN service, still encrypted between your computer and your phone, so the relay cannot read it. If your phone can’t connect directly, your Mac uploads a short private preview of just that clip, deleted within an hour. It is kept in your own private folder, opened with a link that expires within minutes, and no more than 300 MB of previews are kept at once.
  • AI features: transcript text is sent to a model provider when you request a deep AI scan. A reference image is sent when you ask the Service to build a look from that image.
  • Cloud transcription: audio is sent to a transcription provider only when you choose a server-based transcription path.
  • Publishing: the finished clip and its metadata are sent to the destination platform when you post, schedule, approve a queued item, or activate an Autopilot rule.
  • Finder improvement: limited numeric signals and a keep-or-skip label may be contributed to improve the local finder. The shared sample does not include transcript words or media.

4. How we use information

  • Provide, sync, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
  • Transcribe, analyze, edit, render, schedule, and publish content at your direction.
  • Maintain connected accounts, publishing routes, usage balances, and transaction records.
  • Prevent abuse, investigate errors, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and data-deletion requests.

5. When information is shared

We share information only as needed for the Service, including with:

  • Hosting, database, and storage providers, including Vercel and Supabase.
  • Payment providers, including Stripe.
  • AI and transcription providers, including OpenAI or Anthropic when the relevant feature is used.
  • Connected platforms, including Google/YouTube, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, X, and TikTok, when you connect an account or direct the Service to publish.
  • Professional advisers, authorities, or counterparties when reasonably necessary to protect rights, comply with law, or complete a business transaction.

We do not sell your personal information or your source footage.

6. YouTube API Services

Reallyfe Clip Maker uses YouTube API Services to connect your YouTube channel, upload and schedule videos you choose to publish, set their titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and playlists, and read basic performance figures for videos the Service published. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

  • What we access: your channel name and ID, the videos, thumbnails, playlists, and schedules the Service creates for you, and view and retention reports for those videos.
  • How we use it: only to publish, schedule, and report on content at your direction inside the Service. We do not use YouTube data for advertising and we do not sell it.
  • What we store: the OAuth tokens needed to keep your channel connected, your channel ID and name, and the IDs and schedule of videos the Service uploaded. Tokens are held server-side and never shown in the browser.
  • Sharing: YouTube data is not shared with third parties except the hosting and database providers listed above that store it for us.
  • Deleting it: disconnecting a channel in the Service deletes its stored tokens immediately. You can also revoke access at any time from Google security settings. To delete the remaining channel and video records, contact mail@reallyfeproductions.com; we delete them within 30 days.

7. Storage, security, and retention

Account data, projects, connected-account credentials, and eligible media are stored using access controls intended to keep one user’s information separate from another’s. No security method is perfect. We keep information while your account or an active publishing workflow needs it, and as reasonably necessary for security, disputes, billing, or legal obligations. Retention periods can differ by data type and connected provider.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Disconnect a social account from Connections to stop future access through that connection.
  • Pause or delete Autopilot routes before future posts are processed.
  • Revoke Reallyfe Clip Maker from the connected platform’s own security settings.
  • Request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting mail@reallyfeproductions.com.

We may need to verify that a request belongs to you before acting on it. Applicable law may provide additional rights based on where you live.

9. Children, international use, and changes

The Service is intended for people who are at least 18 years old. Information may be processed in the United States and other places where our providers operate. We may update this policy as the Service changes; a material update will receive a new effective date and an appropriate notice.
